About the Hangcha XF25 LPG

The Hangcha XF25 LPG is a 2,500 kg rated LPG counterbalance forklift from Hangcha's XF series — one of the most capable compact IC forklifts at this capacity point. It's built for warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing plants, and outdoor yards where clean-burning LPG is preferred over diesel.

Hangcha has been building forklifts since 1956 and is now one of the top five forklift manufacturers globally. The XF25 reflects that depth of engineering experience: a well-sorted, production-proven machine with a strong support network in Australia.

Engine & Performance

The XF25 LPG runs a GCT GK25 LPG engine — a 2,488cc inline-4 producing 43.4 kW at 2,700 rpm. In older non-Stage V variants sold in Australia the Nissan K25 carbureted engine was fitted; the current generation uses the electronically controlled GCT unit.

LPG power means lower exhaust emissions than diesel, making the XF25 suitable for use in partially enclosed environments with adequate ventilation. Fuel consumption is competitive, and LPG is widely available and easy to swap on-site.

Visibility & Operator Comfort

The XF series mast profile is designed to maximise forward sightlines without sacrificing lift capacity. The angled counterweight improves rear visibility when reversing — a genuine benefit in busy warehouse aisles. Cab comfort is solid: the overhead guard, seat, and powertrain are fully suspended to reduce vibration and fatigue on longer shifts.

Braking System

The XF25 comes standard with a wet disc transmission brake. Enclosed brake surfaces deliver consistent stopping performance in dusty and wet conditions and require significantly less maintenance than drum-style systems. The waterproof electrical connectors add an extra layer of durability in damp operating environments.

Built Safe. Built to Perform.

Advanced safety systems as standard on every machine

The XF25 LPG is engineered around a low centre-of-gravity chassis with a backward-tilting counterweight and an optimised triplex mast that keeps forward sightlines clear even with a loaded carriage at height.

The OPS (Operator Presence Sensing) system is standard — if the operator leaves the seat without engaging the parking brake, drive and hydraulics are cut automatically. The wet brake drive axle uses enclosed disc surfaces rated for 10+ years of service life, and the cast open steering axle extends the internal turning angle to 82°, letting you work in aisles that would stop older-design machines. All key electrical connectors are fully waterproofed for reliable operation in wet or dusty environments.

Designed for All-Day Operation

Three-stage vibration reduction. Generous cab. Quiet hydraulics.

The XF series cab delivers full three-stage vibration isolation — the gearbox, overhead guard, and seat are each independently fully suspended. Sound-absorbing material on key structural surfaces reduces cabin noise, and the enlarged ergonomic cab provides ample legroom for operators on extended shifts.

All-round visibility is maximised through the optimised mast and counterweight profile. The interactive digital instrument panel displays operating status, fault codes, and hours in real time. An intelligent controller manages OPS shutdown, idle flameout timing, and optional speed limiting. LED streamer taillights and a new-generation energy-saving LED lighting system come as standard across the XF series.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hiring the Hangcha XF25LPG in Geelong.

The XF25 LPG is rated at 2,500 kg at a 500 mm load centre. That covers the majority of pallet, drum, and crate loads in warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments. For loads with a longer load centre, the effective capacity reduces — refer to the load chart on the machine or contact us and we can walk you through it.

LPG forklifts are widely used in partially enclosed environments with adequate ventilation — loading docks, large warehouses, factory floors, and outdoor yards. They produce fewer particulate emissions than diesel, making them a cleaner choice in areas where people are working nearby. They are not suitable for fully enclosed, unventilated spaces; electric models are the right choice for those applications. If you're unsure, our team can advise on which machine suits your site.

The XF25 LPG is available in duplex and triplex mast configurations ranging from 2,700 mm to 6,000 mm lift height. The standard unit we hire has a triplex mast with 4,700 mm lift height. If you need a specific stack height, contact us and we'll confirm what's available.

Sideshift is available — either as standard equipment or as an optional add-on depending on the variant. Contact us when booking and we can confirm whether sideshift is fitted to the available unit.

The XF25 LPG runs 7.00-12 front and 6.00-9 rear pneumatic tyres as standard, which makes it suitable for both smooth warehouse floors and firm outdoor surfaces such as concrete yards and compacted gravel. Solid and non-marking tyre variants are available — ask us if you need a specific option for your application.

To operate a forklift in Australia you must hold a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) with a Forklift Truck (LF) class endorsement, issued under the relevant state Work Health and Safety authority. In Victoria this is issued by WorkSafe Victoria. The licence must be carried on-site and presented on request. Operators must be trained and assessed by a registered training organisation. If you need a forklift operator alongside the machine, Geelong Access Hire can arrange a licensed operator — see our Hire an Operator page.

The minimum turning radius is 2,180 mm (to the outer front tyre). This is a genuinely compact radius for a 2.5-tonne machine, making it well-suited to standard warehouse aisle widths. For reference, a 3,000 mm wide aisle is generally workable with this machine.

Yes. Geelong Access Hire offers both short-term and long-term hire arrangements. Weekly, monthly, and extended term rates are available. Long-term hire includes routine servicing as part of the agreement — contact us to discuss your project timeline and we'll put together a competitive package.

Yes. The pneumatic tyre specification and sealed waterproof electrical connectors make the XF25 well-suited to outdoor yards, loading docks, and construction sites with firm, compacted ground. It is not designed for soft ground, mud, or rough terrain — if that's your application, speak to us about rough terrain forklift options.

LPG cylinders are widely available through industrial gas suppliers across Geelong and the surrounding region. The XF25 uses a standard forklift LPG cylinder and the swap-and-go process is quick. Most hire customers arrange their own cylinder supply. If you need guidance on suppliers in the Geelong area, we're happy to point you in the right direction.
